FPS Health is responsible for guaranteeing the public health, the safety of the food chain and a safe environment. Environmental aspects include managing integrated product policy, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, co-ordinating international environmental policy, and protecting the North Sea.
In Autumn 2016, FPS Health hosted a bioenergy meeting in Brussels, with governmental institutions, NGOs, industry bodies, companies and the European Commission attending. My tasks included the preparation (organisation of event, stakeholder management, expert speaker coordination, website design, visual branding etc) and conduction (assisting the meeting chair, first point of contact for issues, photo documentation etc) of the meeting. I also led on post-event tasks such as creating summaries and follow-up communications.
